Darby Street Auckland CBD

| May 31, 2011

The city’s first shared space in Darby Street recently opened. Shared space environments remove the traditional distinction between footpath and road to create more room for people to walk, sit and for on-street activities such as dinning and events.

The Darby Street shared space is an exciting first for Auckland, and the nearby Elliott Street shared space is scheduled to open in late 2011 along with similar areas in the Fort Street area and Lorne Street.

Since the introduction of high performance products to the paving industry, Steintec has set an industry benchmark for the quality of its specialist mortars and grouts. All of the paving products from the Steintec accredited range have been proven to comply and exceed the required industry standards of BS7533 and have an extensive track record of success both internationally and within New Zealand.

The outstanding performance of Steintec products is the result of painstaking quality control at every stage of production along with stringent testing for key performance indicators. Steintec products are continually being developed in response to the demands of the industry; increasing traffic loads, new types of paving elements, new cleaning regimes.

Steintec quality products are aimed to stay at the forefront of new technology whilst respecting the traditions and past experience of the paving industry.
