Eco-friendly bedding and jointing aggregates for unbound natural stone setts and large format flags.

Unique tuffglass™ technology.

Enviropave tuffgrit is a natural eco-friendly binder of recycled glass and aggregates blended with natural organic products, free of all manufactured resins, polymers and cement.

tuffgrit is suitable for all traffic conditions. Pedestrian and trafficked pavement and carriageway construction. Increased resilience for traditional cropped granite setts. Stronger and longer lasting than setts laid with plain aggregate. Suitable for repair and maintenance of existing pavements.

Setts may be laid using traditional methods and patterns. Heavy Wacker plate compaction may be used as normal.

No cement, resin, polymers or toxic chemicals. No special tools or PPE required.

No cement residue.

No “picture frame” stains from resins and polymers. Pavement can be immediately trafficked.

tuffgrit is durable. Application of water activates the natural ingredients, strongly binding together the specially graded blend of crushed rock and recycled glass.

The entire pavement structure is more resilient and loss of jointing material commonly associated with unbound jointing is reduced. More resistant to modern public realm cleaning methods such as mechanical brushing, water jetting and vacuum cleaning. Tuffgrit reacts with water to heal cracks, realign particles and bind them again to maintain strength and integrity.

tuffgrit stiffens when dry and swells when damp, continually adjusting sympathetically with the needs of the pavement in all conditions.

No manufactured chemicals, resins or polymers to degrade over time. No reliance on fossil fuel by-products and artificial binders

Unlimited service life, topping up can be made at any time during the life of a pavement

tuffgrit allows water to permeate whilst reducing the loss of material commonly associated with joints filled with crushed rock alone.

tuffglass technology provides a more open matrix without any loss of structural integrity, a natural solution to a man made problem.

tuffgrit meets the demanding requirements of BS7533-7:2010 Annex C.

Water permeability at 20%  joint proportion ca. 12lt/m2/min with a bed depth of 20-40mm
