ESCOFET – Milenio Bench

| May 18, 2013

escofet-urban-elements-milenioThe initial objective of MILENIO was to offer a previously unprecedented piece of contemporary urban furniture, whose identity was strongly associated with Millennium Square in the city of Valladolid.

The bench was to then become a modular and flexible system for other public spaces in the city and other contemporary landscapes.
Initially conceived as a single geometric module whose position can be singular or multiplied and reversible, it has been supplemented by a right module thus enhancing the propensity for multiple creative combinations.

Simply supported on the floor without anchoring, aggregation and planting can create boundaries between MILENIO modules and its inclined planes subtly break continuous lines. The bench is made of reinforced concrete and molded supports. It can be produced in the full colour range with an acid etched surface finish or part polished.
